Parking
- You are only allowed to use your own allocated parking space
- Do not block access to any parking space or turning area
- Visitor spaces are for guests
- A visitor to your property can stay overnight in a visitor’s car parking space for one night a week.
You will only be given parking space if you own a car. If you own a car then you will be given one space. The space will be in your development but it may not be in front of or next to your property as it will depend on how the development has been built. You will need to make sure that you follow the parking rules and GHA’s Parking Policy.
Yes, you can rent another space as long as there are spaces available. It may not be possible to give you another space in your housing area but in possibly one of our developments nearby. The cost of an additional space in 2019 is £30 a month (subject to an annual review) and you will need to contact your Housing Officer to organise this.
If you are in arrears, then no additional spaces will be given to you. The GHA also has the right to revoke any additional spaces if you do go into arrears.
- Contact the Housing Officer team on 245530 to find out if a space is available
- If a space is available then you will need to come into the office to sign an agreement
- You will need to have your vehicle registration number, make, model and colour
- You will need to set up a standing order with your bank for £30 a month to be paid to the GHA.
These parking spaces are enforced by Terre a L’Amende. If you receive a ticket, you will need to pay the £50 fine within 7 days. This can be paid at the GHA office by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
If you notice someone is parking in an incorrect space or area then please contact the GHA. We are always looking for volunteers to help monitor the parking. Please contact your Housing Officer if you would like to help.
On some developments, there are a limited number of visitor spaces. These spaces are not to be used by tenants or other members of the household who live on the development. If there are no spaces free then your visitor must find alternative parking away from the development and not in another resident’s space. It is the resident’s responsibility to make sure that this happens.
Your visitor can only park in the visitor space for one night during a consecutive 7 day period.
You can use the unloading bays for up to 20 minutes at a time. If you think you may need to park for longer, such as having furniture delivered, then please contact your Housing Officer.
