The kitchen includes an electric hob, wall-mounted oven, a cupboard for a washer/dryer and space for your own fridge/freezer. Flats are carpeted but unfurnished so residents must provide most white goods, all the curtains, any other furniture and so on.
Assistive technology such as a fixed wall-mounted unit and pull cords are provided in the property to be able to contact care staff if necessary. In addition each resident is given a mobile alarm device, MyAMIE. Other sensors and special alarms can be provided in discussion with other health agencies but they will incur an extra charge.
All the flats are designed for wheelchair use with level access showers in wet rooms that can be accessed from the hallway or bedroom. They can also accommodate mobility scooters and specialist equipment such as hoists. Most flats have access to a balcony or patio and all communal gardens are accessible for wheelchairs.
What other facilities are available in the developments?
The communal facilities include hairdressers, restaurants, lounges and assisted bathing facilities. The restaurants and hairdressers are open to the public and the public can book use of the lounges.
