The GHA provide affordable social rented housing for local people. 

The States provide the GHA with a grant which is calculated to enable us to charge rent for its homes at broadly similar rents to equivalent States properties. We generally require one third grant and two thirds private finance.

The joint States Housing and GHA rented waiting list currently has 237 eligible households for 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed accommodation as at 30 September 2022. The list is made up of 115 applicants, and 122 existing social housing tenants who need to transfer to a more suitable property (such as ground floor due to mobility/health reasons). There are also 189 applicants seeking partial ownership housing.
