Before completing the application form, please see if you meet the following criteria. You must:
require at least 4 hours of care per week
be locally qualified
be over the age of 18 years old
have access to funds of over £200,000 in order to purchase a property in ECH (either through savings, or by selling a property in the private sector).
ideally have a housing need (if current property is unsuitable for the applicant.)
Partial ownership is only available on two-bedroom flats. If you are applying for partial ownership, additional factors will also be taken into account. These may include your ability to sell your current property, access funds from savings or equity, and the time it may take to arrange your finances. Allocation of a partial ownership property will also depend on whether you are in a position to proceed within a reasonable timeframe once an offer is made.
Because of this, flats are not always offered based only on how long someone has been on the waiting list. A person who has applied more recently may sometimes be offered a flat first if that property is considered a better match for their needs and for the overall balance of the scheme.
The Panel reviews each vacancy individually and makes a decision based on the circumstances at the time the flat becomes available.
