The application form asks questions about your current living arrangements, your finances and your care and support needs. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to assess whether you are eligible for extra care housing. You will need to specify which extra care development you would like to live at or that you’d be happy to live at either. Our Privacy Policy tells you what to expect when the GHA processes your personal information.
What happens if I need to sell my current property in order to buy a property in Extra Care housing?
Initially, you will be given 2 to 3 months’ notice that you have been allocated a property. We would advise that you put your current property on the market as soon as you have received an offer letter from the GHAIf you are offered a flat, please see the next section on the website.
What happens if I can't sell my proporty in order to buy a property in Extra Care housing?
You will be only be given 3 months unless exceptional circumstances.
