The Guernsey Housing Association (GHA) has completed 20 new flats at the Longue Rocque site on Guelles Road, St Peter Port.
All 20 flats, 12 for rent and eight for partial ownership, have already been assigned and residents are moving in from Thursday 5 July.
The ground-floor flats each have their own garden and are level access, making them suitable for residents with special mobility requirements. First-floor flats each have a balcony and each flat has an allocated parking space.
RG Falla carried out the building work on the St Peter Port site, which was previously two houses with large gardens.
As with all GHA properties, the new flats are energy efficient through having solar panels for water heating, and being well insulated and draught proofed to retain warm air in cold weather.
Steve Williams, GHA chief executive, said: “We’re pleased to have completed another top quality development with a local contractor and welcome the residents to their new homes.
“These flats are a split of rental properties and properties on our partial ownership scheme. The scheme is designed to provide an opportunity for local people to get onto the housing ladder who might not otherwise be able to.
“We’d encourage anyone with an interest in getting on our partial ownership scheme to sign up to the waiting list, as this is the only way we can build an accurate picture of demand on the island.”
